Larviciding is a very effective way to make an area safe from mosquitoes. It’s the most common method we use in our mosquito control services. We use a special chemical called larvicide to kill mosquito babies (larvae) and, over time, this can get rid of all the mosquitoes in an area. We do this by knowing when and where mosquitoes grow and attacking them at the right time and place to get rid of them.
We use something called BTI (Bacillus Thuringiensis Israelensis) to kill mosquito babies, but it won’t hurt anything else. We spray this special stuff in the still water where the baby mosquitoes live. When the baby mosquitoes eat it, it messes up their stomachs and makes them die in a day or so. It’s safe for people.
Misting is a safe and eco-friendly way to control mosquitoes, like an alternative to fogging. It works by spraying a very fine mist of eco-friendly chemicals over a big area. The tiny drops of chemicals cover the plants around, but they don’t harm the plants or animals. Male and female mosquitoes eat plant juice, so when they touch the plants with the mist on them, they die. The mist lasts a long time and doesn’t wash away easily.
